Nora Jo Co has a new look, and this evolution has been intentional. Over time, I realized the brand needed to reflect something more grounded and personal. The direction became clearer when I stopped searching outward and started looking back.
Rebranding Nora Jo Co was not just about refining a logo or shifting colors. It was about stepping fully into the vision of what this kids clothing boutique is becoming.

The Inspiration
Over the past year, I found myself scrolling Pinterest and studying modern kids clothing brands I admire. I saved images, color palettes, and styling ideas that felt close to what I wanted Nora Jo Co to become. But something always felt slightly disconnected.
Then I kept coming back to something deeply personal.
A photo album my grandma sent me.

My nana Jo's handwriting is beautiful and when I read her letters, I feel her. Both of my grandmas are very special to me and why I named Nora Jo Co after them.

The Childhood Rooted Behind Nora Jo Co
Inside that album were snapshots of my childhood. Summers spent at my grandparents’ house. Backyard adventures. Sun faded t shirts. Grass stained shorts. Oversized silhouettes. Comfortable everyday clothes that were worn over and over again.
I grew up with only brothers. On my dad’s side, I was the only girl cousin. Most of my childhood memories include running outside with the boys, climbing trees, building forts, and living in practical, comfortable kids clothing that could handle real life.
The colors in those photos were bold but muted. Retro but effortless. Nothing felt overly styled or overly sweet. It was true everyday kids wear. It was movement, texture, and memory woven into clothing.
Every time I tried to shape the future of this online kids clothing boutique by looking outward, I came back to that album.
That is when I realized the direction for Nora Jo Co was not something I needed to search for. It was something I had already lived.

A Kids Clothing Brand Rooted in Nostalgia
This rebrand is rooted in childhood nostalgia, but interpreted through a modern lens.
Nora Jo Co is evolving into a modern kids clothing brand focused on:
-
Gender neutral kids clothing
-
Comfortable everyday kids wear
-
Bold, muted color palettes
-
Timeless silhouettes inspired by retro style
-
Thoughtfully curated toddler and kids apparel
I do not want the brand to feel overly boyish just because I grew up surrounded by brothers. Today, I am a mom to daughters. I want the clothing to feel inclusive, wearable, and balanced.
The goal is to create gender neutral kids clothing that works for boys and girls without feeling overly themed or trend driven. Clothing that feels nostalgic yet current. Clothing that feels like something you would have worn growing up, but refined.
This is where Nora Jo Co becomes more than a boutique. It becomes a brand with a clear identity.

Launching a Nora Jo Co Clothing Line
This rebrand is also a foundational step toward launching my own kids clothing line.
Nora Jo Co will continue to curate pieces, but I am actively designing original collections built from the ground up. My focus is natural fiber children’s clothing using quality cotton and linen fabrics.
Cotton and linen kids clothing offers breathability, durability, and comfort. These natural fibers are ideal for everyday kids wear because they allow movement, hold up to play, and feel soft against the skin.
As I work through the manufacturing process, I am learning every layer of building a kids clothing brand from scratch.
I have been researching ethical manufacturers, understanding minimum order quantities, sourcing cotton and linen fabrics, developing samples, and refining fit. I am learning how to balance quality construction with accessible pricing while maintaining the integrity of a modern kids clothing brand.
Launching a kids clothing line involves more than designing something that looks good. It requires fabric knowledge, production timelines, testing garments for durability, and ensuring every piece fits comfortably for real life wear.
This rebrand aligns the visual identity of Nora Jo Co with that long term vision.

The Future of Nora Jo Co
Nora Jo Co is growing from an online kids clothing boutique into a fully developed kids clothing brand centered around everyday kids wear.
The direction moving forward is clear:
Childhood nostalgic
Comfort first
Gender neutral
Natural fiber focused
Modern with a retro edge
Designed for play and movement
In this blog post, I am sharing behind the scenes images of the original photo album that inspired this shift, brand boards from the rebrand process, and glimpses into the design and manufacturing journey of my upcoming cotton and linen kids clothing line.
My hope is that other moms see themselves in this evolution. That they feel that sense of nostalgia. That they remember summers outside, clothes worn on repeat, and pieces that became part of their childhood story.
Nora Jo Co is committed to creating comfortable, gender neutral kids clothing made from natural fibers and designed for real life.
This rebrand is not just a new look. It is the foundation of a growing kids clothing brand built on memory, movement, and everyday wear.
And this is only the beginning.
While I work toward launching our own kids clothing line, Nora Jo Co continues to offer a curated selection of gender neutral kids clothing and everyday kids wear from brands I trust and admire. Many of the pieces in the shop are styles my own children have worn and tested in real life. I am intentional about partnering with brands that value quality construction, ethical production, and timeless design.
If you would like to see what Nora Jo Co currently carries, you can browse the full collection online. You may even find a few favorite pieces at special sale pricing.
Thank you for being here for this evolution. It feels vulnerable and exciting all at once, and I am so grateful to share it with you.
